In the movie "The Great Race" you may have liked the "Leslie Special" ... but did you think they'd ever put it in another movie? I'm 1st to notice

above photo via: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=428585&page=733
There are differences, but the grill, hood ornament, and distictive doors are the same. The Leslie Special was made for the movie "The Great Race" and is not a vintage real car, it's a custom built to look like the Thomas Flyer that won the 1907 Paris to Peking race http://justacarguy.blogspot.com/2010/08/winner-of-1907-paris-to-peking.html .

Both movies are Warner Brothers Pictures, and that makes it more possible that its the same car... what else would a movie company do with a movie car after the publicity is over for the first movie it was featured in?

http://www.imcdb.org/movie_65446-The-Ballad-of-Cable-Hogue.html demonstrates that no one has identified the car yet on the IMCDB site

Gotta love old movies for cool unusual cars
and I was really surprised to discover this famous car isn't mentioned to have been in a 2nd movie anywhere on the internet. But it is undeniably the same car painted green, and until now, nothing was on the internet about it.

Tribute recreation of the "California Kid" was at SEMA

Tribute built to look like the 1934 Ford by Pete Chapouris of Pete and Jake fame...
http://66.154.44.164/forum/showthread.php?t=529856&page=3 has the details of how and why is obvious
the car was made famous in 1973 when Martin Sheen (Charlie Sheen's dad) drove the cops into submission in a movie named "California Kid" (good movie, but slow)
The story takes place in 1958, and involves a town, Clarksburg, California, with a famous speed trap, in which a disturbed Sheriff Roy Childress (Vic Morrow), whose wife and daughter were killed by a speeder, turns bad, with a habit of deliberately punishing speeders by pushing their cars off the mountain highway in his 1957 Plymouth Belvedere.

Challenging the sheriff, who tries to run him off the road. McCord is ready, knowing his car's limits for the curve, and the sherriff is a victim of his own obsession, going too fast to make the deadly turn. He drives off the cliff, while McCord manages to stop. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_California_Kid

Black Beauty from the new Green Hornet movie, what it looks like on the inside too

Looks like lightning rods on a Lenco trans with one stick getting a 1970 style pistol grip shifter.

New movie with muscle cars, action throughout, and Dwayne Johnson playing a tough guy for a change, think 80's action flick

http://www.fasterthemovie.com/#/splash/trailer loads a lot faster in Google Chrome than Internet Explorer (ridiculously slow)
or

After 10 years in prison, Driver (Dwayne Johnson) has a singular focus -- to avenge the murder of his brother during the botched bank robbery that led to his imprisonment. Now a free man with a deadly to do list in hand, he’s finally on his mission, but with two men on his trail, a veteran cop (Billy Bob Thornton) just days from retirement and a young egocentric hitman with a flair for the art of killing and a newfound worthy opponent. The hunter is also the hunted. It’s a do or die race to the list’s finish as the mystery surrounding his brother’s murder deepens, and new details emerge along the way hinting that Driver’s list may be incomplete.

In theaters November 24th

The taxis from "The Wiz"

these taxi customs were built my Mechanic Dan! Dabanka commented and let me know to go over to http://www.clearviewtire.com/MechanicDan.php

where it's written " Between 1977 and 1978, Mechanic Dan and built the Taxi Cabs for the movie The Wiz starring Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Lena Horne and Richard Pryor. The Taxi Cabs were made out of golf Carts. Dan cut the golf carts in half and made them longer. He then built custom fiberglass bodies and rewired all of the carts. "
Six different photos are on the link above
